Zainab Marvi is a design researcher, graphic designer, and illustrator from Karachi, Pakistan. Her interest areas lie at the intersection of design, gender and cities. Having lived and worked in Karachi, a common thread in her design practice revolves around how the marginalised communities, especially women, perceive and navigate the city.

Zainab is currently pursuing MSc. in Design Research at the Bauhaus-Dessau, and was a part of the Against the Grain Fellowship Program 2021 by Futuress. She did her B.Des in Graphic Design from University of Karachi. She has previously worked with Karachi Biennale 2019, and as Lead Design Instructor for a social enterprise, imparting graphic design training to young women from underserved communities..
