Jason E. Murdock is a faculty member in the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art at Georgia Southern University. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication Design from the Herron School of Art & Design, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University. His research interests include typography and typeface design, and he is currently investigating the potential effects and ramifications of "font breeding." As a typeface designer, Jason has collaborated with Google Fonts and has produced numerous original typefaces and historical revivals for his forthcoming digital type foundry, Ogletype.
