Growing up in post-Soviet Russia shaped Aleksey’s interest in the democratic movements for change, and the role of design in creating the images of the possible. Through his work he is exploring the intersection between the commercial and the public, with the focus on enabling social change. He’s currently a Director of Brand activation at Microsoft, helping bring to life company’s focus on creating the greater good. He’s on the Board of Directors of Microsoft’s LGBTQIA+ employee community and leads Pride, among other values-driven campaigns, overseeing product releases, internal and external activations reaching billions of people around the world. He believes in the power of brands to create change, and is pushing for new ways for companies to use their power for the betterment of the societies and the planet.
