Anne K. LaFond is the Director of the JSI Center for Health Information, Monitoring and Evaluation at John Snow, Inc. (JSI). She has engaged with global health research, monitoring and evaluation and program design for 30 years to maximize the use of evidence in addressing health challenges for people in low income settings. Anne was the Senior Advisor for Research, Monitoring and Evaluation in the Innovations for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Initiative and led a comparative case study on the role of human centered design (HCD) in MNCH programming, developing the first influence pathway analysis of HCD. Anne serves on the Board of Advisors for USAID and BMGF’s Design for Health community of practice, collaborates on the MeasureD Manual and Lab to guide investment in HCD and HCD measurement, and teachws M&E approaches to designers at the School for Visual Art’s MFA in Design for Social Innovation.
