Tamara Morgan is the Community Partnership Coordinator of the Adaptive Design Association, Inc, (ADA), an NYC-based nonprofit that provides custom assistive technology for people with disabilities to excel at home, at school, and in their communities. Before joining the ADA team, Tamara worked at the DreamYard Art Center as their art as therapy therapist with inner-city youth and their families, promoting social-emotional health wellbeing through the arts. As a previous co-host of Disabilities Redefined, she unshaped the constructs of ableism. She is a graduate of NYU’s Steinhardt School for Art Therapy. Diagnosed at birth with osteogenesis imperfecta, a condition that makes her bones abnormally fragile. She is an eternal optimist and a believer that people need people to create a better world. She is an avid user of high and low-tech devices. She currently works to encourage communities to embrace diversity and adaptations at the Adaptive Design Association.
