How will I access the conference sessions?

All sessions for the conference will be accessible through the agenda link in the navigation above. Sessions will only be accessible to individuals who have registered for the conference.

What’s the best way for me to join to get the most out of my event?

We strongly recommend you use a computer to view the conference so you can easily view the presenter and any visuals they may share. We also suggest you download Zoom ahead of time, and make sure you have the latest version.

How do I find the streaming link for the session I registered for?

Once you’ve registered for the conference through Eventbrite, you’ll receive an email with a link to access Swoogo. From there you’ll be able to see the Zoom links for every session. You will receive the link again shortly before the event starts so it’s at the top of your inbox. If you have any trouble finding the login information , please contact us in the hour leading up to the start time.

I’m having issues with my Zoom. What do I do?

We encourage you to first explore Zoom’s Help Center. If you aren’t able to resolve the issue that way, please reach out to us at dotgov@dc.aiga.org.

What’s your refund policy?

Full refunds for event registration will be given until 6:00 PM on the day before the event. After that point, refunds will not be granted. If you cannot attend, we encourage you to pass your ticket on to a friend, and email the event coordinator to let them know. In the event that an event is postponed, your ticket will be valid for the new event date. If you cannot attend on the rescheduled date, you may receive a refund. If an event is cancelled, you will receive a refund.

I need accommodation to participate fully. What do I do?

All of our virtual events will include live captioning. If you need additional accommodation, please contact us. We ask that you request your accommodation as early as possible, as we may not be able to fulfill all requests made after May 13. We honor your privacy and no identifying information (e.g., your name) is required to request an accommodation. Email us at dotgov@dc.aiga.org

When I buy a ticket, where is my money going?

The tickets help cover our expenses, including the cost of streaming platforms and live closed captioning. The DotGov Design Conference will donate 10% of the event profits to the Design Continuum Fund, which helps launch the next generation of talented artists and designers by offering financial support for minority and economically disadvantaged students.

I can’t afford the ticket cost. Can you offer a discount?

We know that this year presents unexpected and difficult economic hardship for many of us. We try and make our programming as affordable as possible, but if the ticket cost is a barrier, please reach out to us at dotgov@dc.aiga.org, and we will offer discounted or free entry, no questions asked.
