Taekyeom is an educator, researcher, and multidisciplinary designer using various m and artistic sensibility. He is an Assistant professor of Graphic Design at Iowa State University in Ames, IA. His research explores unconventional ways of creating tangible type, graphics, and even designed objects with materials and techniques unique to typography and graphic design. He infused 3D printing into his research and has been experimenting with various methods and materials. The cutting-edge digital techniques play a crucial role in turning intangible ideas into tangible design products with physical substance and also become an agent to build a strong connection between analog and digital environments. His 3D-printed artwork has gone viral on social media. He presented through national and international conferences, and various media have featured his work. He actively exhibited his work and provided workshops and lectures across the country and abroad.
