Shasti O’Leary Soudant is an award-winning multidisciplinary designer and artist whose colorful public art is inspired by philosophy, politics, and scientific/mathematical concepts. Her large-scale sculptures are designed to invite engagement and interaction, and are premised on hidden systems, power dynamics, human relationships, balance and hegemony.
Shasti has also designed and/or illustrated over two thousand book covers, including more than a dozen number one New York Times Bestsellers by Danielle Steel, Stephen King, James Patterson, John Grisham, Anne Rice, David Baldacci, Nicholas Sparks, Mary Higgins Clark, Patricia Cornwell and Sandra Brown.
Soudant’s artwork is in numerous municipal, public and private collections, and she is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo, where she lives, works and teaches design.
