Ben directs the Cohen Lyme and Tickborne Disease Initiative. He manages a portion of the Foundation’s grant portfolio, with a particular focus on health and the arts. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ben was a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant for UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO), where he directed M&E efforts for various projects and initiatives including the $200 million Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child (RMNCH) Trust Fund. After receiving his Master’s of Public Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, Ben worked for Columbia University as an Epidemiologist and Data Systems Manager. His research portfolio includes co-authorship of more than ten publications on various issues facing developing countries. Ben also has a Master’s in Business Administration and a background in governmental finance and budgeting.
