All applicants for Command X: At Home have been selected for 2020–2021.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be 26 years old or younger as of February 10, 2020, 11:59 p.m. EST
• Be either a graduate of a four-year college program, completing undergraduate studies by June 2020, or have equivalent work experience
• Be a current AIGA member

Application process

To apply, please submit the following:

1. An introductory one-sheet, featuring

• a clear headshot looking directly at the camera
• a short biography of your design experience
• a personal statement (not to exceed 150 words) about why you want to compete in Command X

2. A packet of five design samples, one project per page (the “Work”)

3. Your completed online submission including your six-page PDF document uploaded before February 10, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Questions may be submitted to commandx@aiga.org.

Ownership

By entering, all Command X entrants retain ownership of the Work. Entrants grant AIGA, the professional association for design, a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to exhibit, transmit, or display their Work for noncommercial educational and promotional purposes in perpetuity.

Originality and Noninfringement

Contestant represents and warrants that the Work produced for Command X will be original with Contestant and that the display and publication thereof by AIGA will not knowingly infringe any patent, copyright, trade secret, or other intellectual property right of any third party. Contestant agrees to indemnify and hold AIGA harmless against any liability, loss, cost, damage, claims, demands, or expenses (including reasonable outside attorney’s fees) of AIGA or its sponsors, volunteers, or staff arising out of any breach of this paragraph.
